COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Speakers are available for churches, community organizations, service clubs, and various other groups providing informational programs related to dementia and Alzheimers, pain management, care of the elderly and issues of aging and spirituality.

Community workshops, held each year for physicians, nurses, other professionals and families and friends of the elderly, address issues such as recognizing the onset of Alzheimer's disease, personal safety for seniors, preventing elder abuse, homecare, geriatric depression, hazardous drug/food interactions, hospice, and managing pain. The medical education courses provide continuing education credits for nurses and other professionals.
