SpiritCare's vice president, Jeanie, has been busy creating lap blankets which she was able to give to Pacifica Senior Living and Hopkins Manor, thanks to the baskets of yarn which Sunrise Senior Living communities on the San Francisco Peninsula generously donated at our 2019 Christmas Breakfast. Before the COVID19 pandemic SpiritCare visited these communities each month for worship services with music:
How about getting a group of friends together make squares that you can sew into lap blankets for older adults in wheelchairs? Just let us know by filling in our Contact form and we can tell you how many squares you need. You can knit or crochet the squares. As the weather gets colder, when care community residents are pushed outside they will welcome a cozy blanket. Here are some of the lap blankets that Jeanie made. Thank you Sunrise and thank you Jeanie.
